REVIEW: Cigarette-makers agree to pull ads

Phillip Morris, British American Tobacco, Japan Tobacco and four

smaller cigarette-makers have agreed to adhere to minimum global

standards that will result in the companies pulling ads off TV and

radio, as well as ending celebrity endorsements. The companies began

negotiations for the voluntary pact with the World Health Organisation
