Audi UK has appointed Rawdon Glover head of marketing. Glover, who joins

from the Camelot Group where he was the brand marketing manager for the

National Lottery and Instants, will report to Dermot Kelly, the director

Dr Pepper is continuing its ’to try it is to love it’ theme in a new

pounds 7.5 million TV and cinema campaign. The Young & Rubicam ad for

the Cadbury Schweppes brand features a prisoner building a raft from

empty Dr Pepper cans. The campaign breaks next week. General release



Geoff Ellerton, London Transport’s marketing and communications chief,

has quit. He will not be replaced. LT has also decided not to fill the

more senior position of marketing director, a post it is thought that

Ellerton sought. Evening Standard



Lincoln Financial Group is launching its first national advertising.



The radio and press campaign stars the comedy duo, Hale and Pace, and

promotes Lincoln’s new ISA. General release



BT and Coca-Cola are the front-runners in the race to win the ITV slot

for the last ad of the old millennium and the first of the new one.

Industry insiders suggest the price could rise to pounds 1 million. The

victor will be announced in a sealed-bid auction held by Granada Media

The troubled Korean car manufacturer, Kia Motors Corporation, is calling

a review of its advertising account for a full relaunch of the brand

this summer. Kia has approached three agencies, including the incumbent,

Virgin Clothing has appointed a diverse team to create its new

advertising.



Saatchi & Saatchi, the Brandworks and Modus Publicity are behind a press

campaign that breaks in May. General release



The Independent Television Commission has censured Sooty and Sweep for

inhaling aromatherapy fragrances on TV and setting a bad example to

children.



The ITC suggested that the containers could have been mistaken for

medicine bottles and encouraged copycat action. The Guardian



Orange has axed the position of marketing director and rolled the

marketing, commercial and IT functions into one post. Richard Brennan,
