REVIEW: Marketing and advertising news in the week's press

WPP said this week that it has no plans to issue a profit warning,

despite the slump in global advertising revenues. Although Interpublic

and True North both released statements that earnings would be lower

than expected, it is thought that WPP is continuing to work on the basis

that it can hit pre-tax profits of about pounds 550 million. - General
