St Luke’s has picked up the pounds 10 million account for,

BT has cut almost 20 per cent from its annual advertising budget,

slipping from first to fourth place on the ACNielsen MMS listing of the

top 100 UK advertisers. The telecoms giant has been overtaken by

Inter Lotto has appointed M&C Saatchi to handle the pounds 10 million

launch of its new lottery game, Daily Number. The game will ask players

to pick three numbers from zero to nine in the hope of winning prizes of

up to pounds 250. Daily Number will launch in the Yorkshire and Granada

The National Lottery Commission is searching for an agency to assess the

marketing proposals of the groups bidding for the next lottery licence.

million advertising account for Age Concern’s commercial division. The

account will focus on Age Concern’s financial services unit, with a

director, Robin Jack, have resigned with no jobs to go to. The group

media director, Gillian Cairney, and the senior planner/buyer, Laura

The New York-based trade body, the Promotional Marketing Association,

will launch a UK branch - part of a planned global network for

The US-based banana importer, Chiquita Brands International, has ended

its relationship with Doner Cardwell Hawkins and shortlisted three

agencies for its European account, which is thought to be worth between

Shares in the business information group, Reed Elsevier, fell almost 10

per cent this week amid scepticism about its ambitious online strategy.

The Anglo-Dutch group has announced plans to turn its business, legal

and scientific products into internet portals offering information and

The UK television and publishing group, United News & Media, has

announced that it will invest pounds 370 million in new internet

ventures over the next two years. The group plans to carve out its web

activities into a single group with a view to a possible public
