RKCR/Y&R picks up Rosemount ad brief

Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R has picked up the £2 million creative account for the wine brand Rosemount Estate.

The agency scooped the business following a two-way shoot-out against DDB London. RKCR/Y&R will now be briefed with promoting Rosemount in the UK, Europe and the US as its owner, the Foster's Group, looks to relaunch the brand.

The company does not have a creative agency of record. Universal McCann handles media.

Rosemount Estate was originally part of the Australian firm Southcorp, until it was acquired by Foster's in May 2005 for £1.3 billion.

Foster's, which already owned the wines Wolf Blass and Yellow Glen, also picked up Penfolds, Lindemans and Wynns Coonawarra Estate in the deal.

In 2007, net sales revenue for the company's wine businesses increased by 3.2 per cent to £1.08 billion, while its net profit grew by 11.4 per cent to £181 million.

Both Rosemount and RKCR/Y&R declined to comment.
