Rocket has picked up a clutch of wins amounting to a claimed pounds

6 million in billings with its appointment by the entertainment software

publisher, Eidos Interactive, alongside the Ministry of Sound and

Granada Sky Broadcasting.

Rocket takes over Eidos’s media planning and buying following a pitch

against the incumbent, MindShare, and several other undisclosed

agencies.

Eidos, the publisher of the popular game, Tomb Raider, will launch a

number of games this year and has reportedly set aside a pounds 3

million budget.

John David, the marketing director at Eidos, commented: ’We feel there

is a great cultural fit between our two organisations.’

The Ministry of Sound spent pounds 1.1 million on advertising in the 12

months to September last year but will increase this to pounds 1.7

million this year.

It was previously with BMP OMD. Creative is handled by M&C Saatchi.

GSB, which plans to spend at least pounds 1 million this year, appointed

Rocket after working with Zenith Media since its launch.

Ann Cook, the marketing director of GSB, said: ’Zenith did a great job,

but I felt we needed some new energy.’

John Harlow, the managing director of Rocket, New PHD’s second-string

agency, said: ’It’s a great start for the year for Rocket. All of these

brands are entrepreneurial market leaders, which are exactly the kind of

clients that Rocket has set out to work with.’
