Rocket has picked up a clutch of wins amounting to a claimed pounds
6 million in billings with its appointment by the entertainment software
publisher, Eidos Interactive, alongside the Ministry of Sound and
Granada Sky Broadcasting.
Rocket takes over Eidos’s media planning and buying following a pitch
against the incumbent, MindShare, and several other undisclosed
Eidos, the publisher of the popular game, Tomb Raider, will launch a
number of games this year and has reportedly set aside a pounds 3
John David, the marketing director at Eidos, commented: ’We feel there
is a great cultural fit between our two organisations.’
The Ministry of Sound spent pounds 1.1 million on advertising in the 12
months to September last year but will increase this to pounds 1.7
million this year.
It was previously with BMP OMD. Creative is handled by M&C Saatchi.
GSB, which plans to spend at least pounds 1 million this year, appointed
Rocket after working with Zenith Media since its launch.
Ann Cook, the marketing director of GSB, said: ’Zenith did a great job,
but I felt we needed some new energy.’
John Harlow, the managing director of Rocket, New PHD’s second-string
agency, said: ’It’s a great start for the year for Rocket. All of these
brands are entrepreneurial market leaders, which are exactly the kind of
clients that Rocket has set out to work with.’
