Royal College of Art supports exhibition with JWT campaign

J. Walter Thompson has created a campaign for the Royal College of

Art to promote its exhibition called The Show.

The campaign will run across a variety of media in London, including bus

backs, four-sheets and postcards.

It is based on the idea that many great pieces of art and design are by

former students such as James Dyson, Tracey Emin and David Hockney.

One ad shows a shoe inside a transparent womb. A second ad, 'cribs',

shows objects lying in clear cots. The strapline is: 'Where great ideas

are conceived and born.'

'Womb' was shot by Vincent Peters and 'cribs' was shot by Blinkk (Damian

Laurent, Leila Namaan and Annie Phillips).

They were written by Gary Marshall and art directed by Paul

Marshall.

Media planning and buying is by MindShare.
