"When Paul and Russell came into the agency, they fitted into our ‘good works’ culture immediately," Karmarama’s chief executive, Ben Bilboul, says. The pair, both 24, started their first "proper job" at Karmarama in January after placements at Mother, McCann London and The Corner.

They studied graphic design at Kingston University, but decided they wanted to be "the ones coming up with the ideas rather than designing other people’s ideas", according to Bailey. "Less about typefaces and more about concepts," Hendrie adds. Hendrie tends to do the art direction while Bailey writes copy, though each tries their hand at both.

Their highlight has been creating "the 6 Music tree" for BBC Radio 6 Music – an animated spot that was a Campaign Pick of the Week in January.

"They work really hard to deliver their best on every brief and have already built up a creative portfolio to be proud of," Bilboul says. "On top of being extremely talented and diligent, you couldn’t meet two nicer guys."
