Saatchi & Saatchi hires digital head

Saatchi & Saatchi has poached the managing director of's Netherlands office, Marc Huijbregts, as its digital director.

Working with Saatchis' worldwide digital creative director, Tom Esligner, Huijbregts will take responsibility for developing a strategic plan for the agency's digital offering. He will report to Simon Francis, the chief executive of Saatchi & Saatchi EMEA.

Huijbregts' remit, which spans all of Saatchis' EMEA offices, also includes training and educating agency staff and clients about the potential opportunities provided by digital communications.

Huijbregts joins Saatchis after three years at, where he worked on accounts including T-Mobile and McDonald's.

Michael Rebelo, the managing director at Saatchis London, said: "By appointing Marc, we're sending out a clear message about our commitment to digital creativity.

"His experience of the digital world will be a fantastic addition to our creative offering and to our clients."
