Ruud Gullit has gone on TV in a spoof Pizza Hut spot which

advertises his services following his sacking last week as Chelsea’s

manager.

Gullit’s agents agreed to a new version of the ad for the restaurant

chain, to run during the next three weeks .

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO rushed to complete the ad, which consists of a

series of out-takes from the original film, in time for screening during

Sky’s broadcast of Chelsea’s Coca-Cola semi-final clash with Arsenal on

Wednesday.

The out-takes are accompanied by details of Gullit’s CV, from his birth

in Amsterdam to his triumph with Chelsea in last year’s FA Cup

Final.

A song by the Specials - A Message to You, Rudy - is being used as the

soundtrack, and the film ends with the caption: ’A great all-rounder

with acting experience. Good luck, Ruud. Some corners are tighter than

others.’

Amanda Bindon, Pizza Hut’s marketing manager, said: ’Ruud was happy for

us to do the ad because we have been very supportive of him.’
