The agency is planning an online and traditional media campaign for the

company, which sells through retail outlets and via its new website

www.sfcody.com.



Agency managing partner Christine Walker said she will oversee the

business with planner/buyer Tom Hosking.



Walker declined to discuss details of the campaign but confirmed that

press has been chosen as one of the main media. ’The goal is to be

visible,’ said Walker. ’The gift arena is highly competitive so we need to

stand out in the market.’



SF Cody, named after turn-of-the-century showman Samuel Franklin Cody, is

aiming to fill a gap in the pounds 25 billion ’indulgent gifts’

market.



The company, set up by River Island fashion chain founder Leonard Lewis,

has stores in Brighton, Manchester, Croydon, Dublin and the Bluewater

centre in Kent. The shops sell a range of luxury gifts, from luxury

chocolates to home spa kits, as well as watches, candles and stationary

with gift prices ranging from pounds 5 to pounds 2,500.



Consumers with access to the internet can log on to the SF Cody website

where they have the option to buy goods and have them gift wrapped and

delivered. The company will even e-mail an ’Anniversary Reminder’ to

surfers who submit their details, and advise on suitable gifts to match

the personality of the intended recipient.
