Wunderman Cato Johnson has raided the ranks of Rapier for a new

board business director to head its recently acquired Citibank

account.

Silvia Torrisi, who ran Rapier’s flagship Cable & Wireless

Communications business, joined WCJ this week.

Before Rapier, she worked at OgilvyOne on the IBM, Kodak and American

Express accounts.

Richard Bagnall-Smith, the joint managing partner of WCJ, said he was

impressed by Torrisi’s experience of managing important integrated

accounts.

He added that this was ’key to how we are developing our business’.

Torrisi said: ’It will be great to be managing part of a global piece of

business again. I have missed that aspect of account management

recently, but I have learned a lot at Rapier about the requirements of

launching a brand while delivering advertising that can also address the

commercial imperatives.’

WCJ won the Citibank account last December in conjunction with its

sister agency, Young & Rubicam. At dollars 800 million billings

worldwide, it is the largest win in agency history.
