Snapchat rolls out feature to allow users to save images

The Memories function allows people to easily find their images and they have the option to make new stories, edit and send snaps from it.

It is the first time Snapchat has launched such a feature. Previously users had to screenshot the image if they wanted to save it.

The tab sits below the camera screen, and people need to swipe up from the camera option to open Memories.

Repeated snaps or stories will appear with a frame around them to show others that it is an older post.

A My Eyes Only feature allows people to put a password on images meant for them only.

The new features are being rolled out now.
