The account, which has been dormant for some time, is worth up to £2 million. PHD Compass most recently held the brief. Starcom picked up the task following a three-way pitch. The process was managed by the Blacks marketing director, David Robey.
The appointment of Starcom follows Robey's recent decision to move the creative account from the Newcastle-based agency Robson Brown into Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy.
Luca Margarito, a business director at Starcom, said: "There is huge potential in this sector, as the trend of consumers wanting to experience outdoor pursuits is undergoing considerable growth."
