O&M has declined to take part in the review which will see five New York shops shoot it out against Wieden & Kennedy, Portland.

The New York agencies taking part are Young & Rubicam; Bates Worldwide, part of the Cordiant Communications Group; DDB Needham Worldwide, a unit of Omnicom Group; Partners & Shevack/Wolf and Weiss Stagliano Partners.

The review is understood to involve Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, the Starwood Preferred Guest programme, and media duties for Starwood and some of its hotel brands. A decision is expected by June.
