StepStone has bought a pan-European sponsorship package from the online sports network Sportal.

StepStone has bought a pan-European sponsorship package from the

online sports network Sportal.

The recruitment portal will sponsor Sportal’s coverage of Euro 2000.

StepStone branding is to appear on every page of the channel Sportal has

dedicated to the tournament and on e-mail newsletters about the

event.

StepStone has also bought banner advertising on Sportal’s family of

websites across the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark and

Sweden.

Sportal, which is aiming to be the biggest global provider of web sports

content, is an official sponsor of Euro 2000 .

Simon Denyer, head of pan-network sales, negotiated the deal with Pam

Vick, StepStone’s group marketing director.

Vick said: ’Sport is a key area of interest for the professionals who

use our site. Sportal was the ideal fit as it was able to deliver

interesting and valuable executions across most of our markets.’

Denyer said the StepStone deal was the first of a series of pan-network

sponsorship deals to be announced over the next few weeks.

Sportal operates a network of sites for partners such as football teams

AC Milan, FT Juventus and Paris St Germain, as well as its own brands

such as Scrum.com and the Danish site Infosport.dk.
