An up-and-coming contract publishing operation in North London is

looking for five sales staff to aid its expansion after sealing a deal

with Disney.



Mill Hill-based Stonegate Marketing has been hired to produce an

official magazine for the Disney Awards at Docklands Arena in September,

as well as providing a ’goody bag’ for those who attend.



Managing director Robert Jacobs said: ’We’re growing rapidly but it’s

difficult to find good, experienced sales people. At first they’d be a

big cog in a small wheel, but we’re expecting to do great things in the

future.’



Stonegate specialises in publications tied to concerts and events. Set

up by Jacobs in September 1996, it started out by producing a

promotional magazine called Music on a Summer Evening to accompany the

annual English Heritage classical concerts at Kenwood House,

Hampstead.



It has since produced magazines for the Smash Hits Tour and Poll

Winners’ Party, as well as the Diana Princess of Wales tribute concert

at Althorp House.



The company contracts out editorial, design and printing work but

handles its own sales. It currently has a sales team of five, but Jacobs

is looking to double this. The company will shortly move to larger

offices.
