The UK tour operator Walt Disney Travel Company is the latest
client to advertise on black cabs.
Jonathan Adam, sales director of Taxi Media, has booked Walt Disney
Travel Company for a mixture of one- to three-month taxi campaigns.
The client’s ads have been placed on the sides and on the back of the
tip-up seats in 16 black cabs in London and one in Manchester.
Walt Disney Travel Company launched in the UK on 8 May, although the
company has been operating in the US for 30 years.
It is offering British consumers package and fly-drive holidays to
Disneyland in Florida and the surrounding beach resorts.
Alasdair Farrimond, marketing manager of Walt Disney Travel Company,
said: ’Black cabs are a fun and cost-effective way of building awareness
of our Disney US holiday programme. They offer a new dimension to our
marketing campaign, which is aimed at driving business to Florida.’
Taxi Media’s tourist and travel clients include South African Tourism
and Iceland Air.
Taxi Media employs three client and agency sales staff who share an
office with three Phone Sites sales people and four staff who cross-sell
across both media.
