UK agency rankings following its appointment as NatWest’s integrated

agency.



Following a joint pitch with GGT Direct, TBWA beat NatWest’s roster

shops, Ammirati Puris Lintas and Bartle Bogle Hegarty, plus Rainey Kelly

Campbell Roalfe and M&C Saatchi to the pounds 50 million account.



The win, which was first revealed on Friday on Campaign’s website,

CampaignLive, sparks two immediate conflicts: Virgin Direct has

confirmed that it is reviewing its pounds 15 million account out of

TBWA, while GGT Direct will also resign Barclays Life as a result of the

win. TBWA’s other financial services clients - Axa and Equitable Life -

are not understood to be reviewing.



As GGT moves into TBWA’s offices this week, details emerged of the

’NatWest village’ which will be set up to handle the account within the

Whitfield Street building.



Paul Bainsfair, chairman of TBWA, said: ’To be awarded NatWest’s entire

account is the sort of beginning we could only have dreamed of.’
