Teletext names editor-in-chief

- Electronic text service Teletext has indicated a strong commitment to developing its content on the web, digital TV and mobile phones with the appointment of a new editor-in-chief, John Sage.

- Electronic text service Teletext has indicated a strong commitment to developing its content on the web, digital TV and mobile phones with the appointment of a new editor-in-chief, John Sage.

Sage's remit will include spearheading the development of multi-platform content. He will also seek to add more content to the existing analogue service on ITV and Channel 4.

He will be reponsible for a team of 110, with further staff expected due to the expansion of the service.

The move sees Sage promoted from executive editor, a position he took in 1998. He previously worked as news editor on the Brighton Evening Argus and held positions at PA and UK News.
