1. Mother lands global Baileys
Baileys, Diageo’s Irish liqueur brand, has appointed Mother as its global strategic and creative agency after a competitive pitch.

2. Ben Golik named Rapp’s ECD
Rapp has hired Ben Golik, the executive creative director at Kitcatt Nohr, as its UK group executive creative director. He replaces Ian Haworth, who has left to join Wunderman.

3. Laterooms contacts agencies
Laterooms.com, the hotel-booking website, is speaking with creative agencies about how to develop the brand after it was sold by TUI to Cox & Kings last week.

4. DigitasLBi strikes content deal
DigitasLBi has signed a content marketing partnership with The Pool, the online content platform founded by Lauren Laverne and Sam Baker. The Pool and DigitasLBi will co-create content for brands.

5. Sky launches ad product
Sky Media has introduced Sky AdVance, which will enable brands to deliver a sequence of targeted ads through linear TV.  

6. ITV to acquire UTV stations
ITV has confirmed plans to buy UTV Media’s television assets for £100 million. The deal is subject to regulatory and UTV shareholder approval.

7. BBC’s Hamilton joins McCann
McCann London has hired Chris Hamilton, the head of social media at BBC News, for the newly created role of editorial director at Live, the network’s digital and social agency.

8. Grey scoops Jacob’s account
Jacob’s, the snacks company owned by United Biscuits, has appointed Grey London as its creative agency. It beat J Walter Thompson in the final stage of a pitch run by Roth Observatory.

9. Global expands ad platform
Global is expanding Digital Audio Exchange, its digital ad platform, into 18 countries across Europe from early next year.

10. Razorfish CEO Adamski dies
Tom Adamski, the global chief executive of Razorfish, died this week after a battle with cancer. He was 43.
