- Thomson Directories has linked up with the internet search engine, Lycos, to give advertisers the chance to reach highly-targeted local audiences.

When users use the Lycos engine, they will have the opportunity to search over 2.2 million UK business listings on the Thomson Directories Service "Inbusiness". By clicking on a button on the Lycos site, the user will be taken to a co-branded Thomson/Lycos site where they can search under any combination of company name, business type or geographic location.

Advertisers can specify the categories and locations that their advertisements appear next to and can have a hyper-link from their listing to their own website.
