Initiative Media has filled the newly created role of head of
European media after drafting in the head of its Hungarian operation,
He joined the agency this week and, from his base in London, will report
to Roy Jeans, the managing director of the UK operation.
Scott-Hunter’s main role will be to oversee pan-European accounts, which
Jeans described as ’the next stage of Initiative’s growth’. New business
will also be one of his responsibilities.
Before heading the Hungarian office, Scott-Hunter was the national media
director of Ogilvy & Mather in Australia. Previously he was a planning
director at Young & Rubicam Europe.
Jeans said: ’Tim has a lot of experience on the receiving end of our
pan-European work and knows what is needed to take the business
It’s a recognition of London’s role in pan-European accounts.’
Scott-Hunter said: ’I had previously shied away from international roles
because international media divisions used to be marginalised. Now their
importance has increased. I expect to be spending 30-40 per cent of my
time going for pan-European business. There are lots of new-business
