TMW wins Pimm's digital account

Diageo brand Pimm's has appointed Tullo Marshall Warren (TMW) to handle its digital account after a competitive pitch.

The agency pitched against undisclosed competitors. The win strengthens TMW’s position on the Diageo roster, as it already handles Guinness.

It is not clear whether the incumbent, Agency Republic, repitched. Agency Republic won the account in 2007 against two undisclosed agencies. It will, however, continue to work on the Diageo roster across brands including Tanqueray, Gordon’s and Jose Cuervo.

In November, Diageo reappointed TMW to its direct marketing roster in order to consolidate the account. The review began in April last year.

TMW’s appointment will not affect Pimm's’ relationship with advertising agency Mother, which was behind the ‘Pimm's O’Clock’ ads featuring Alexander Armstrong as the character ‘Harry’.

However, last year the brand dropped the character after seven years, to refresh its marketing activity.
