Total Media has landed the pounds 1 million contract for secondary

endowment policy company Policy Plus.

Nigel Potter, agency joint managing director, will head the planning and

buying account, assisted by account manager Rupen Shah.

The lion’s share of media spend will go on terrestrial television and

national press although Potter said: ’We will also give a high priority

to testing new media.’

The account was previously handled by MBS Media.

Malcolm Summerfield, chief executive of Policy Plus’s creative agency

SWK, was responsible for hiring the media agency. He said: ’We were

impressed by Total Media’s analytic approach to testing and strategy

planning for investment business.’

Total Media already handles media for another insurance organisation, GE

Life. The pounds 5 million GE Life account centres around television,

national press and the ’grey’ magazine market.

Total Media also holds the accounts for Faber & Faber, Blackwell Books

and Amazon.com.
