M&C Saatchi has appointed Antonia Harrison as international development director to coincide with the official launch of its New York office. (Campaign)

Nicola Mendelsohn, the executive chairman of Karmarama, has been appointed vice-president of Facebook across Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia, replacing Joanna Shields. Shields left Facebook in January to head up the Tech City Investment Organisation. (Campaign)

Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R has named Mick Mahoney as its executive creative director. He joins from Havas Worldwide London, where he held the same role, and replaces Toby Talbot, who left RKCR/Y&R in February. (Campaign)

Lean Mean Fighting Machine has hired Jon Burkhart as head of social content. Burkhart, whose most recent role was at Iris Worldwide, is the co-author of 'Newsjacking: The Urgent Genius of Real-Time Advertising'. (Campaign)

Havas Worldwide London has promoted Anthony Edwards to the new role of strategy director and hired the former Droga5 planning director Lisa Bowcott in a bid to boost its strategic credentials. (Campaign)

Manning Gottlieb OMD has hired Mark Brennan, the head of mobile at Carat, to the same role at the agency, replacing Mark Halliday. (Campaign)

Glue Isobar has appointed Thom James, a client services director at Jam, and James Caig, the deputy head of strategy at MEC, to the roles of head of social and head of social strategy respectively. (Campaign)

M/Six has promoted Dan Harris, the client development director, and Ross Barnes, its digital director, to the roles of joint managing directors following a period of rapid growth. (Campaign)


Smirnoff and Guinness-maker Diageo has appointed marketer Ivan Menezes as its new chief executive, replacing Paul Walsh who is standing down after 13 years. (Marketing)

Sarah Fuller, the Waitrose head of marketing who is credited with being one of the key architects behind the Delia Smith and Heston Blumenthal ad campaign, is to leave the retailer after four years. (Marketing)



Hearst Magazines has created the position of president of digital media and appointed Troy Young from Say Media to the role. (Media Week)

MirriAd, the brand integration specialist, has appointed entertainment veteran Ted Mico as its chief operating officer, as it looks to expand its global footprint, notably in the US. (Media Week)

UTV Media has appointed Adam Mills, the former managing director of Admedia, as the sales director of TalkSport, following the departure of Adam Bullock earlier this year. (Media Week)



German airline group Lufhansa has named Barbara Schädler as head of corporate communications. Schädler, who takes over on 1 July, moves from business management software firm SAP where she was senior vice-president of global comms. (PR Week)

Juliet Clarke, the former head of technology at M:Communications, is to join Powerscourt's technology, media and telecoms team this month. (PR Week)

Former Dell international comms head Stuart Handley has been appointed group comms director at cloud-based email management firm Mimecast, one of the UK's fastest-growing IT firms. (PR Week)

College Group has hired former Telegraph Group head of business Damian Reece as managing partner and deputy CEO of its capital markets division. (PR Week)
