Havas EHS has hired Peter Sells, the former head of mobile at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, in the new role of head of mobile, as part of a trio of senior appointments. The other hires are  Simon Nixon, the former head of the sport division at digital agency Aqueduct, in the new role of technology director, and  Brendon McCabe, the former director of production at StoryWorldwide, who joins Havas EHS in the new role of head of delivery. Mr President has hired Thea Hamrén, an associate creative director at DigitasLBi, as a creative. (Campaign)

Havas Worldwide London has hired Leo Burnett's head of account management, Emily Somers, as its first managing director. (Campaign)

Mark Middlemas, the director of marketing and business development at IPG's Mediabrands, is set to leave the agency group after 15 years for a new communications role at media data specialist Radium One. (Campaign)

Andrew McGuinness, one of the founders of Beattie McGuinness Bungay, is leaving the agency after eight years as the other founders step back from day-to-day operations. (Campaign)

Iris Worldwide has poached Tribal DDB London's executive creative director, Chris Baylis. (Campaign)

Maxus has launched Maxus Partnerships, a content and sponsorships division, and hired Laura Wade, the head of digital at UTV's TalkSport and Sport magazine, to run it. (Campaign)


Santander has promoted Keith Moor, the bank’s UK director of brand and communications, to the newly created position of chief marketing officer. (Marketing)

Chris Jansen, the ex-managing director of British Gas Services and former British Airways marketer, is reportedly set to take the top position of chief executive at the Automobile Association.(Marketing )


Steve Auckland is returning to take the helm of Metro newspaper, a brand he left in March 2011. He has been appointed managing director of Metro and will join the business on 10 December. (Media Week)

Microsoft's UK sales director Simon Davies is to be promoted to the US-based role of general manager, west coast, Microsoft advertising and online. (Media Week)


George Eykyn, comms head at the Department for Communities and Local Government, has been appointed director of communications at British Gas. (PR Week)

Vodafone UK's new chief executive Jeroen Hoencamp has scrapped its top PR role, resulting in comms director Christian Cull leaving early next year without a job to go to. (PR Week)

 Edelman's top UK lobbyist is poised to leave the agency ahead of launching his own venture next year. Chris Rumfitt, managing director of the agency’s growing public affairs practice, is set to depart at the end of January. (PR Week)

Fishburn, as the Fishburn Hedges Group is to formally become in January, has appointed its director of strategic planning Ali Gee as chief executive. (PR Week)

Former HMV corporate director Paul Barker is to join Bell Pottinger in January as a partner in its corporate and financial practice. (PR Week)

Just Health Communications has hired former Edelman director Catherine Barnett to its senior management team. (PR Week)

Cognito, the specialist communications and marketing consultancy for the financial services industry, has appointed Tim Williamson as its new managing director for the Asia-Pacific region, based in Singapore. (PR Week)

MHP Communications has sought to boost its political credentials in Europe with the hire of Kajsa Stenström and partnership with her former employer Diplomat Communications. (PR Week)
