This US-only TV commercial marks the first brand spot for insurance company Travelers to feature its umbrella logo since the company was reacquired from Citigroup.
The symbolic red umbrella logo had previously represented Travelers and insurance protection for decades.
The ad will run throughout the summer around sports and business programming. It shows a dapper man delivering a 35-foot umbrella to its new owner in the city.
The man uses the umbrella to shelter a group of children and others, before finally arriving at his destination where he proudly sits atop a building, from where he discovers the city is filled with red umbrellas.
The spot is designed to communicate the idea that when you need the umbrella, it will be there.
