Simon Gwynn thinks Debenhams' talking Christmas gifts need a personality transplant.

The retailer might think it’s bringing its pressies to life by getting celebs to voice them but, crucially, it forgot to make them endearing. Instead, it has achieved the feat of creating inanimate objects worthy of the kind of contempt normally reserved for other human beings.
