UberPOOL hits one million passenger milestone in London

Uber's ride-sharing service uberPOOL has logged one million users since it launched in London last December.

The service, which operates in central London as well as Heathrow Airport, enables passengers to save money by joining people heading in the same direction.

Uber claimed the growth of these shared trips has helped to reduce air pollution in London by saving more than 700,000 driving miles over passengers travelling alone.
