- Hyperlink, one of the UK's largest independent new media agencies,. has opened a US office in Boston focusing on its marketing software product, Inceptor.
Inceptor is already used by a number of leading companies in the UK, including the Economist, Virgin and MSN, to help promote and run their websites.
The software has been developed to allow marketers to control their own profile helping to drive traffic by dealing with search engines, control site access and measure online campaigns.
The Boston office will be run by Larry Cleary, who has been appointed chief executive officer. Cleary was formerly a vice president at US new media firm, InUnity Corp.
Tim Jenner, managing director, at Hyperlink, said: "There is a general belief that the US is way ahead of the UK. Yet Inceptor is a UK-developed web marketing tool. With competition intensifying, American site owners already perceive the need for a product that enables them to optimise their online marketing."
