Unilever in review of Dove digital task

Unilever is talking to its roster of digital agencies about the UK online advertising and marketing account for Dove.

The pitch is the first to emerge in the UK since the FMCG giant completed a review of its digital and direct marketing agency arrangements in July.

In the UK, it cut its roster from 23 agencies to just seven: Agency Republic and AKQA are its digital agencies of record, along with the direct shops Billington Cartmell, Chemistry Communications, Craik Jones Watson Mitchell Voelkel, Tequila\London and Tullo Marshall Warren.

It also conducted a simultaneous global digital agency review, appointing Tribal DDB, OgilvyOne, MRM Worldwide and Dare to its international roster. All four will now work across Unilever's range of brands on global digital strategy and development, including online search, advertising, podcasts, mobile and websites.

Dove is a pioneer of online social networking. In the US, Ogilvy Interactive created an online community for www.campaignforrealbeauty.com.

Unilever did not comment on the review.
