looking for a below-the-line agency after rethinking its marketing

requirements.



The move throws into doubt Mustoe Merriman Herring Levy’s hold on the

pounds 3 million account, which it won last February (Campaign, 21

February 1997). Nick Mustoe, the managing director of Mustoe Merriman,

said: ’We are still involved, but we won’t be doing any stand-alone

below-the-line work - that is not our field.’



Bordan Tchachuk, the chief executive of Viglen, said: ’Viglen is a

direct marketing company, and our focus will be more response-led from

now on.



We have been talking to a couple of agencies about a tactical campaign,

rather than branding work, in a move to involve the customer more.’
