Robinson, 50, has held account director and marketing director roles at advertising and PR agencies.
Most recently, he was the chief executive of the PR and promotions company Beatwax, but left in August be-fore taking his first job in a media agency.
Robinson will work closely with Vizeum's international client director, Simon Sadie, and will be responsible for developing global business from new and existing clients. Robinson will be based at Vizeum's global headquarters in London and will take a seat on the worldwide management board.
Last year, Vizeum won international business from Heinz and Panasonic and the Kia cars corporate account. However, these successes were tempered by the departure of the Disney account, which moved into Vizeum's sister agency Carat.
Vizeum was launched in June 2003 with 17 offices in 12 European countries and now has 25 offices in 20 countries on the Continent.
However, the network plans to expand into New York and China.
