To mark the launch of its new Amarok pick-up, Volkswagen aimed to demonstrate the power of its new model by using it to demolish a 67 m high steel chimney weighing 140 tonnes.
The stunt sees four of the vehicles taking down a giant steel chimney in Reading, Berkshire. Four 200m lengths of rope were rigged to the top of the chimney and attached to the towbars of four standard Amarok pick-ups. The online film of the stunt, created by Iris, was directed by Steve Hudson through Hungry Man. It created by Iris’s Henry Scotland and the production company was Hungry Man.
