WCRS bolsters creative unit with former Saatchis team

WCRS has poached a creative team from Saatchi & Saatchi as it strengthens its creative department in the wake of a series of new-business wins.

strengthens its creative department in the wake of a series of

new-business wins.



Martin Gillan, a copywriter, and Dave Lang, an art director, spent

nearly five years at Saatchis, where they worked on the agency’s major

clients.



Gillan said: ’We will be very busy at WCRS. There are good people here

and great clients - the agency feels like it’s just about to take

off.



’We spent nearly five years at Saatchis so it was about time to leave

and work on some new clients.’



Gillan, 26, and Lang, 27, met at Buckinghamshire College and began work

at Saatchis soon after graduating.



They worked on clients including British Airways and Toyota, and stayed

at the agency after Maurice and Charles Saatchi left to set up M&C

Saatchi in 1995.



While at Saatchis, the pair won two D&AD silvers for the Army campaign -

one for their radio work and one for mixed media.



They also won bronzes at the British Television Advertising and Creative

Circle awards for an Oil of Ulay cinema commercial.
