The Week: Advertising News - Accurist signs up Cleese

The former Monty Python member John Cleese will reprise his role in ads for Accurist, according to the company.

Cleese originally starred in a series of ads for Accurist during the 70s, selling the watches in a variety of bizarre locations. The commercial used the line "Accur-ankle, Accu-wrist!" and was cited as one of the world's top ten ads by the US TV host Johnny Carson. The company said that Cleese would lend his voice to the new ads, which will air in the run-up to Christmas.
