The Week: Advertising News - Tesco signs up Spice Girls

Tesco has signed the Spice Girls at a cost of £1 million each to front two Christmas television ads, according to reports.

Filming has already started, and the ads are understood to feature the group poking fun at themselves. The supermarket's existing campaign, created by The Red Brick Road, has already used celebrities including Martin Clunes, John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg and Martine McCutcheon.
