The world's third-largest handset manufacturer is looking to consolidate its EMEA accounts into one agency network.
Motorola's advertising is currently handled by Ogilvy & Mather internationally. Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO holds the account in the UK, while TBWA and 180 Amsterdam run the business in the Middle East and Europe respectively.
It is understood that Motorola has contacted both roster and off-roster agencies to pitch for the business. Chemistry meetings have been concluded and a shortlist is expected early next week.
The review is being run by Andrew Morley, the Motorola vice-president of marketing, EMEA.
News of the review comes a week after Campaign revealed that Mother has gained a place on Motorola's global roster. However, the agency is not thought to be involved in the pan-European review.
