The Week: Brand news - Nike pulls Stab trainers

Nike has withdrawn a range of trainers called Air Stab from its British stores following the recent spate of knife attacks occurring across the country.

The £90 shoe, which carries the logo "Runnin' 'n' Gunnin'", was first launched in 1988, before being revived two years ago as part of the limited-edition "retro" range. The sportswear giant conceded that the name had become an "unfortunate coincidence", but denied that it was a reference to knives.
