The Week: Brand news - Vodafone is top UK brand

Vodafone has been named the most powerful British brand for the third year in a row, according to Millward Brown's annual global brand ranking.

The telecoms giant increased its brand value by 75 per cent in the past 12 months, according to the survey, which also named Tesco, HSBC, Marks & Spencer, Barclays and Standard Chartered Bank as UK companies that made the global list of top 100 power brands.
