The Week: Brothers and Sisters wins £10m Sky1 advertising brief

Sky Networks has appointed Brothers and Sisters to handle the £10 million advertising account for Sky1, ending its relationship with The Red Brick Road.

The Red Brick Road won the entire Sky Networks advertising business in July 2007, after a three-way pitch against Bartle Bogle Hegarty and WCRS. It was initially appointed to work across Sky1, Sky Two, Sky Three, Sky News, Sky Movies, Sky Travel, Sky Arts and the Sky Box Office brands.

However, since then, The Red Brick Road has only ever worked on programming briefs for Sky1.

Brothers and Sisters already handles advertising for Sky Sports and recently launched Sky1's new autumn schedule and on-air identity. It is understood to have won the business without a pitch.

Earlier this month, WCRS won a brief to create advertising for Sky Movies, following a pitch against The Red Brick Road and Sky's in-house creative agency.
