The Week: City News - M&C reports profits rise

M&C Saatchi has posted a 64 per cent rise in pre-tax profits to £3.3 million for the first half of 2007, on the back of a strong UK performance from its Walker Media subsidiary and improving results from the US and Europe.

The interim results for the first six months of 2007 show the marketing communications group's revenues climbed 8 per cent to £37.3 million. David Kershaw, the chief executive at M&C Saatchi, said: "The Asia and Australia region had a tougher half, but we are pleased that both the US and European businesses are moving into profit."
