The Week: City news - Nokia buys social website

Nokia has acquired the social media company Dopplr in a deal worth between EUR10 million and EUR15 million.

The site, which enables users to share personal and business travel plans, adds to Nokia's existing haul of social media acquisitions, which include the Boston-based micro social networking sites Plum, Cellity and Bit-Side - all of which were purchased by the telecoms company this year.
