The Week: City News - Reed offers aid to trade bid

Reed Elsevier, the publishing house, has warned that it may not find a buyer for its trade magazines division, but said it is on course to meet its full-year targets.

The group also added that it would be willing to provide financial support for a successful bid for the unit, which is now valued at between £650 million and £850 million, compared with £1.3 billion when the sale was announced at the start of the year.
