The Week: Media news - GCap Media slashes jobs

GCap Media has made a substantial number of redundancies across its 1,400-strong workforce, with around 160 people understood to have left as part of a cost-cutting drive.

GCap's Capital 95.8, Xfm London and Choice FM are thought to have been worst affected. Ivor Etienne, the managing director of Choice FM, has left and Darren Henley, the managing director of Classic FM, is acting as managing director at Choice FM.
