The Week: Media news - GCap sells off two stations

GCap Media has sold Xfm South Wales to Town & Country Broadcasting, a local radio group, for an undisclosed sum.

The station will be relaunched as Nation Radio on 16 June. Separately, GCap has sold Planet Rock, the classic rock station, to an undisclosed buyer, according to Queen's lead guitarist Brian May. May revealed the news on his blog, after coming close to signing a deal for the station himself. GCap declined to comment.
