The Week: Media news - IoS slashes coverprice

The Independent on Sunday has cut its coverprice from £1.80 to £1 in response to falling circulation figures.

The paper slashed its price to £1 in April and in June last year, when it relaunched. However, since it raised the price back up to £1.80 in May, circulation figures have fallen 10.86 per cent month on month. The £1 price positions it as one of the cheapest Sunday papers alongside The People (90p), The Sunday Mirror and the News of the World (both 95p).
