The Week: Media news - Mirror axes more titles

Trinity Mirror is closing four of its weekly regional titles in the West Midlands.

The media group is to shut the Black Country Mail Extra, the Wolverhampton AdNews, the Daventry Post and the Ashby Herald. Trinity Mirror said that it hoped to avoid redundancies as it attempts to move staff to other titles within the group. The company has closed 32 weekly titles since the beginning of 2008.
