The Week: Media news - MPs probe local media

The House of Commons Culture, Media and Sport Committee has launched an inquiry into the future of local media that will address concerns surrounding the impact of digital and the effect of news aggregators such as Google.

The committee has asked for written submissions on a range of issues affecting local and regional newspapers and TV and radio broadcasters, and will also investigate the opportunities and implications of BBC partnerships with local media organisations.
